Spring Cleaning at Lichen Hollow

  • Lichen Hollow 8050 Illahee Road Northeast Bremerton, WA, 98311 United States (map)

As you know, it is so close to Springtime! And as you also know, that means a lot of craziness for Seeds of Grace. We are hoping we can count on you to help us by putting together a team for a LARGE work party scheduled for March 30. We have a lot of winter clean up to do and you have, in the past, either have, or indicated you would be willing to help us by pulling together people who have strong backs and also understand the mission of the organization. I’d like to ask if you would be willing to come through for us (again) at the end of this month?

We will be at Lichen Hollow serving breakfast on March 30, at 8:00 AM and will provide lunch and snacks. We have a need for project overseers – as we will also be working with the Washington Youth Academy who will be bringing 40 – 50 cadets. Each project will require from 2 – 5 people on the team. Some projects will be fairly quick, and some will take a few hours. We don’t plan to finish for the day before 4:00 PM.

The projects span a wide range of skillsets, so I am sure we will be able to use EVERY hand you can gather and commit. They include (but are not limited to):
Setting Sheds on Concrete blocks/ pads
Building a firepit
Trimming trees
Planting starts into already existing raised beds
Cutting up and stacking fallen branches
Building trails/ framing raised beds
Filling beds with soil and mulch
Cleanup in woods/ building trails
Building a “rock” path (stamped concrete puzzle pieces)
Building a brick patio
General clean up
I know there will be much more, and depending on how many of you are able to commit, we can build more projects to accommodate the number of teams we actually have, so can you please let me know at your nearest convenience how many on your team will be coming?

Alternatively, you can complete the form located here:

Please make sure to register so we have enough food!

I thank you so much for your commitment to Seeds of Grace! Partnerships with community leaders, such as yourselves are instrumental in growing the capacity of our organization, allowing us to do so much more with the blessings we’ve been given. We thank you truly, for whatever time you can commit.
